Questions always linger in my head daily about life and how does are society function and why. I have been told that “you take things so serious” or “Dom you’re thinking too much.” Being serious is not a trait that I have developed, but being able to become a critical thinker and push you to think outside of the social norms is a trait that I have developed. If it comes out serious, its the passion that burns inside of me. Too many of us go through the motions and just accepting a lot of norms at face value and not diving deep into the reason why that was said or why is this frowned upon and why is this glorified.
I understand no one wants to question or be the “weird” person that goes against the grain. I’m here to tell you that, with many great leaders in thinkers throughout the world and in the past questioned social norms and ideas that were accepted. There is nothing wrong with having a idea that you believe in. Not everybody will understand your own perspective or ideas, the most important and pivatol thing to do is to not be afraid to voice your opinion because we are trying to please everyone. We cannot please everyone and their opinions but we will respect their perspectives. Push yourself to be uncomfortable and not complacent otherwise we are just going through the motions.
My mind is always racing trying to figure out why life is the way it is, seeing how there is a gap between people that have money and who do not baffles me. Having this big gap and seeing us fight to be that one percent or even be able to be comfortable. The love of money is a reality and this is the root of all evil. We see people that will do anything for money and that disturbs me. I feel that we are losing ourselves spiritualy, physically and mentally. Yes we do need money in order to survive but there so much more to life than just scraping for a check. We can’t take it with us when we are gone, so have we put money in such a high pedestal that is it more important than our own well personal spiritual, menatal and physical health. Maybe it’s not the love of money that is the root of all evil, the love of being greedy is the root of all evil. Prisons is America is a buisness that many wealthy people invest in, the drug companies who have cures to a lot of disease like cancer for example and are using the slow drip effect just to earn more money with each treatment. Greed is a very powerful addiction that has it’s grips on this nation. That is why capitalism is not true capitalism but it is predatory capitalism. You think all these billionaires are innocent and got there money the right way? No one is innocent when it comes to a individual that is making a million or more in a single day.
